What I need your help with:
Alright you guys, I need your help! So every year – during these weeks leading up to Christmas time, John and I celebrate our actual anniversary. Even though we were married 2.5 years ago, the time we met and fell in love 8 years ago, is what we celebrate. Plus that way I get two anniversaries LOL. For those who don’t know, my best friend, Jessie, actually introduced us early December 2010. We became inseparable rather quickly, fell in love and moved in together after 8 months. He was my person and I knew it. We dated for 4 years before he finally popped the question and we were married a year and half later on June 4, 2016. Even though we were married in June, I always feel like this time of year is what brings me back to the nostalgic feels of those first days we met each other. Thats why we also do a little something extra for each other in the weeks leading up to Christmas. After years of receiving David Yurman jewelry myself, from John over the course of these 8 years – I wanted to start something that was more meaningful with John that he would wear and remember.
About a year ago, I was in Chicago at the Nordstrom Flagship store and I bought John his first David Yurman piece, a leather wrap bracelet with sterling silver clasp. I remembered thinking he was either going to love or hate this gift – but thankful because I knew I could 1. Return it (Nordstrom, DUH.) and 2. They had SUCH a massive selection to choose from in store and online that I knew he’d be able to quickly find something he did love, if that was the case. Fast forward 2 years, 2 more men’s David Yurman pieces, and here I am looking for numero 3. I have NEVER much been into men wearing lots of jewelry but this is the one brand that I trust he can layer or wearing alone, making it perfect for vacation, travel, and even more formal occasions. The best part? He legit wears them EVERYDAY. That’s a win for me and makes me feel like he’s got a little piece of me with him everyday. And from a style perspective, it’s clear he loves them.
Anyway, I cannot get over how good this year’s selection is at Nordstrom. I am actually having a really hard time narrowing down exactly which new bracelet to add to his collection. I am still caught between a more casual style like this rope variation, or whether I should do something a little bit more embellished like this stone one so he can wear it with more formal type things. What do you guys think??? Let me know in the comments, or shoot me a DM because I need your help! Check out the rest of what’s available here and make sure to see if there’s something on there for your man! I think having a little tradition around presents is the perfect way to keep memories alive and I love that David Yurman’s classic and timeless styles allow you to do that.
