PALM BEACH & The Brazilian Court Hotel
August 8, 2018
I know its been awhile since I’ve done a travel post and wanted to keep y’all in the loop on some of my favorite trips throughout the year. Well, one of my long-weekend girls’ trip to the Brazilian Court Hotel was one for the books. Before going down on this trip, I had been working myself to the bone and burning the candle at both ends, so to speak. I was SO ready for a quiet, low key weekend, in a quaint boutique spot – where I could get some work done, content knocked out, and enjoy what Palm Beach had to offer.
We stayed at The Brazilian Court Hotel which is a sleepy jungle paradise, tucked away in a lush tropical oasis in West Palm Beach, FL. Its a historical gem with all the frills you would hope to find in a luxe boutique hotel – from the Frederic Fekkai Salon to the award-winning French restaurant off the lobby. “Guests are invited to savor the cuisine of internationally acclaimed chef Daniel Boulud at Café Boulud, enjoy unparalleled pampering at the Frédéric Fekkai Salon or simply vanish into tranquility by the secluded, palm-fringed pool. You can even choose to relax in one of our two tropically landscaped courtyards.”
This place was just what the doctor had ordered. I spent 3 mights in the most gorgeous suite where I even took a bath in the soaking tub. (I never DO that) After receiving a tour, my nerdy historian self was in awe of the years behind this gorgeous place. If those walls could talk, they would tell stories of famous politicians & actors who’ve frequented the super private retreat throughout the last CENTURY. Yep, its been around since 1926 and seen the likes of JFK and Sophia Vergara – who in recent years hosted her Rehearsal dinner in one of their stunning indoor/outdoor pavilion space. Brides, I am TALKING TO YOU. This place would be an absolute DREAM for anyone with a wedding guest list under 200.
Okay back to the amazing pool and food — and drinks. We ordered snack and light meals pretty much around the clock and ordered damn near everything on the cocktail menu too. My favorite thing to get was the “tropical mule” and also enjoyed the fresh citrus water that was provided by the pool everyday too. The restaurant inside the hotel was unbelievable! All throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner people from all over Palm Beach were looking to get a reservation at Café Boulud. The food was amazing – I had the mushroom risotto and whole red fish. They de-boned it right in front of us – just one of the many presentations throughout the meal. They also had a full vodka bar complete with oil essences of your liking. AND last but not least, if you go, get the White Orchid Martini. Top 5 most beautiful & delicious drinks I’ve ever had or seen! No joke. I am not a martini gal and I had multiple. LOL.
We didn’t go out a lot – as this was a trip about R&R for me, but I didn’t want to. This hotel has it all and is so close to the ocean, you really want for nothing. Some of the rooms that sit on Australian Ave., had their own private entry out on the street for that extra homey feel. The meeting areas felt more like living rooms and the whole space just made you feel like you were at home. Being close to the beach and walking distance from town and restaurants, you were really in the mix of everything. The hotel also has complimentary (and CUTE) bikes to ride back and forth. Photo opps that double as vehicles? Yes please.
My stay here was just perfect and I will be back with my husband for sure. Anyone looking to book rooms for a wedding or actually have your ceremony or family reunion somewhere amazing, this is it. Low-key, luxe, and relaxing. What more could you need? See more here!
